The development team is thrilled to share that our very own Shane Muirhead, Mid-level Developer at Tribus has been officially recognised as a contributor to the latest WordPress 6.8 “Cecil” release!
In his own time, Shane has been contributing to the ongoing development for WordPress and continues to be actively involved in the WP core development community.
WordPress 6.8 marks another step forward in the mission to democratise publishing and power open-source freedom for creators across the globe. This release brought together over 900 contributors from more than 60 countries, delivering more than 320 enhancements and fixes - all to ensure a faster, more stable, and more flexible WordPress experience.
Over 250 of these contributors were first-timers including Tribus’ Shane Muirhead We’re incredibly proud of his work and contribution to such an impactful, community-led project. It's a testament to his skill, dedication, and belief in the power of open source.
WordPress powers over 40% of the web, and being part of its evolution allows a chance to give back to the wider developer community.
